A Professional Engineer and finance professional building software for small businesses in British Columbia.
Three Fifteen is a one-person practice run by a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and finance professional with 12 years in industry. I spent my career solving operational and financial problems for real businesses before building software and websites for them full-time.
Websites and internal tools are infrastructure, not marketing artifacts.
That background is why my work holds up. I think about your website or internal tool the same way I would think about any other business system — as infrastructure that has to function reliably for years, not as a marketing artifact that looks good on launch day. Engineering taught me to design for failure modes and operational reality. Finance taught me that every system eventually has to answer to a budget, an audit, or a quarter-end close. Both are the right lenses for building software a small business will actually depend on.
The Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng) is a licensed credential regulated by Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia. It requires a four-year accredited degree, four years of supervised practice, professional exams, and ongoing continuing professional development. I carry it because I think professional standards matter in technical work — not because it’s traditional in a web development practice. (It isn’t.)
The finance background — a dozen years across operating companies and transactions — is why the businesses I work with tend to be the ones where money, process, and technology actually meet. Contractors, dental practices, law firms, small manufacturers, trades, operators who need their software to reflect how their business runs, not the other way around.
Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, plus remote across Canada.
Based in Vancouver. Most of my work is for businesses across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley — Burnaby, Richmond, North Vancouver, Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge, Chilliwack — where I can meet in person if a project warrants it and where I understand the regional market.
I also take remote engagements across Canada for the right projects. If you are anywhere else in the country and building a small or medium business website or custom app, see the remote engagements page for how those work.
Think we might be a fit?
20 minutes on the phone, no pitch. Tell me what you are building and what is in the way. I reply within one business day with either a scope and a price — or an honest reason I am not the right person for the work.
